Hello everyone –
I’m excited to be back for my fifth fishing season at Røst Fishing Camp in the Lofoten. Whether you’re a long-time friend of the camp or thinking about joining us for the first time, I can’t wait to welcome you to one of the most beautiful and productive fishing spots in all of Norway.
A place I’ve grown to love since I first came here on Røst Island, in 2013. I knew this place was special. But I didn’t expect how quickly it would become home. Year after year, I’ve had the chance to fish with anglers from all over Europe – helping them chase monster cod, halibut, coalfish, and pollack in some of the richest waters in Lofoten.
What started as a seasonal adventure has turned into something much more: a passion, a community, and a place I’m proud to call my summer home.
At Røst Fishing Camp, we’re not just about catching big fish – although trust me, we do a lot of that. We’re about creating unforgettable fishing experiences. My job is to make sure everything runs smoothly, from the moment you arrive to your final cast.
That means:
I speak English, French, and can swear in Swedish, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure you feel at home here on the island.
If you ask me when you should come to Røst Fishing Camp, my answer is simple: August.
This is when the topwater action explodes. Long, calm days. Warmer surface temperatures. And predators feeding aggressively near the surface. See about last year story in this article. You can expect insane strikes from strong, fast fish – especially coalfish, and be ready for some surprise catches as well.
Be prepare for some adrenaline shots as your lure get smashed just meters from the boat. It’s raw, visual, and incredibly addictive.
So if you’ve been thinking about topwater fishing in Norway, even if the surface activity starts as early as June, August is the time. And I’d love you to experience the adrenaline.
May and June were booked out early last year, thank you to all of you who are returning! But if July is as well fully booked, we still have a few opportunities in August, and I can promise you: it’s going to be epic.
Whether you’re coming solo, with friends, or as a family of anglers, there’s a spot waiting for you. I’ll be happy to welcome you and help you to make it a trip to remember.
I’ll be here, ready to welcome you, advise you, and share everything I love about fishing in Lofoten.
If you’ve been dreaming about a last-minute fishing holiday in Norway, now’s the perfect time to book.
