In our senior fishing trip, from the moment they arrived, the North Sea delivered. Flat calm seas, blazing sunshine, and a visit from a pod of orcas made for a welcome like no other.

Spirits were high and rods even higher as they tackled their first cods and coalfish with wide smiles and contagious laughter.
Despite their age, these senior fishermen bring serious experience and sharp reflexes. Hook sets are on point, teamwork is smooth, and stories flow as freely as the tide. More importantly, they prove that the love of fishing only grows stronger with time.

So far, they’ve landed some impressive cods and have been catching coalfish non-stop. Add the majestic sighting of orcas in the wild, and you’ve got the perfect Røst postcard.
Their mid-week feedback? “It’s the best decision we’ve made in years!” After only 3 days at the camp, they feel the weight lifting they have accomplished. They also realize the privilege we have at Rost, the amount of fish available is mind-blowing.
And the registration of their fish on the mandatory application testify for their results. As a registered camp, this is something we are proud. We show to others European fishermen that tracking our catches is important to contribute to the understanding of the population dynamics.
It’s a joy to see our waters fished by people who carry such deep respect for the sea and its wonders. We can’t wait to see what the rest of their week brings. Maybe a mighty halibut will be caught?
