a stunning 170 cm halibut Team Hoppe halibut fishing at Røst, our good friends, made their comeback to Røst Fishing Camp this week, and once again they proved that nothing — not even wild weather and strong winds — can stop them from chasing monster fish.
Anyone who followed team Hoppe adventures in past years knows they don’t shy away from a challenge (check last year’s report here). This year, team hoppe wasted no time and focussed on halibut fishing. From day one, they braved the rough sea conditions and quickly found some big cod and halibut ready to test their tackle.
The highlight? Albin Hoppe absolutely smashed his personal best with a stunning 170 cm halibut, a true fish of a lifetime. Even better, the group managed to land an impressive total of five halibut on day two alone, showing just how productive our waters can be — even when the weather is far from calm.
What makes fishing with Team Hoppe so inspiring is their positive spirit and dedication. Bad weather? No problem. They come every morning for a quick brief on the daily conditions. Then heads out, and enjoy every moment together on the water. These big smiles and bent rods are exactly why we love hosting them year after year.
